For those of you living in the UK you’ll know that it snowed last night rather heavily in the the South. And Basingstoke was the worst hit. I live near Basingstoke…

Come 5pm it’s time to go home and the snow has been falling heavily for the past 4 hours. I start to drive home and can’t get up one hill so i turn round, go back past work to go the other way.

‘Sorry mate, you won’t get up that hill unless you’ve got 4×4 (I drive a shitty Civic), it’s like ice up there’.

Right, turn round, try to go the original way.

‘Have you got a 4×4 mate? Well, you definitely won’t be getting up there, people are skidding about all over the place up’.

I went to see a fun little group on Friday night; Them Crooked Vultures at Hammersmith Apollo.

They were fucking awesome. We had excellent seats and SOOOO glad we weren’t down in the mosh pit while teenagers pushed and shoved each other, like teenagers like to do.

I’m rather jealous of Dave Grohl’s drumming talent and stamina, he was smacking those skins like there was no tomorrow. And it’s was REALLY, INCREDIBLY, RIDICULOUSLY loud.

My ears were still ringing by Saturday morning.

I bought (yeah, me, bought, i know!) the first season of The Shield on DVD last week on a whim.

I’d heard The Wire is supposed to kick major backside and The Shield is the natural precursor to it. So fuck it, it was less than a tenner on Amazon. May as well treat myself.
