Right, i’ve got new hosting now. First thing’s first. I need to change the nameservers on my domain, that takes about 48 hours to propagate.

Then there’s a chance that I may not have set the configuration setting correctly so if the site goes down you’ll know why. I’m going to change the nameservers tonight and I’ll check periodically over the next 2 days to see if it’s shifted. If it is down then obviously I’ll sort it out and get it up and running asap.

But give me a chance to get it working, ok?

And they’ve saved the best one for last. A shit load of fucking swearing and violence. It’s an adult comic-readers dream and gives a fantastic taster of things to come. You can just tell that the young actress playing Hit Girl is destined for great things.

The latest trailer has come out for Nightmare on Elm Street. Looks absolutely delicious. If they stick with this format of shocks and scares and under-the-skin moments like they’ve portrayed in the trailer then it’s going to be chuffin’ fantastic. Seems to be really harking back to the 1984 original where Krueger is humourless and terrifying.

Anyway, check it out for yourself. I’m quite warming to Jackie Earle Haley now, although his voice doesn’t have that same sinister raspy quality that Robert Englund brought to the character. More >

Well, there we go. I’ve converted the entire database code from coldfusion to php. I’ve completely rewritten everything so if something’s fucked up or I’m missing summat or you can’t submit or search or whatever, let me know in the comments here. More >

Right, well I’ve got 1 and a half pages converted from coldfusion to php out of 3. I’m essentially having to write it again from scratch so understandably it’s taking a while. Quite enjoying it though as I’ve never written PHP before, only modified it. And my job isn’t what you would call ‘challenging’

But as soon as I’ve got it done (and wages have come through this month) then I’ll be looking at alternative hosting. Then the site will be whizzing along.

On another note we’re finally back in the practice studio this Sunday, really looking forward to it as I haven’t been behind the skins since October! My arms have gone all weak and floppy. Apparently we’ve got 2 songs to be working on for the moment.

I’m currently in the process of converting the password and no-password database from Coldfusion (what it is at the moment) to PHP.

It’s a bit tricky as I know Coldfusion pretty well but PHP kinda gets written for me by out of the box packages like WordPress, etc.
Fuck it, I’ll make it up as I go along.

Anyway, once I get it all working in 100% PHP then I’ll look for a new host as my current one is like running through sticky tar. Bear with me, it might take a couple of weeks but you’ll definitely know when it’s suddenly rapid (probably coz I’ll tell you!)

Joystiq.com has got a couple of preview videos of Skate 3. And boy, does it look good.

For those of you that don’t know, I love Skate. Absolutely adore them, ever since I played the demo of the first one I was hooked. Must have played that demo about 10 times before the game came out. Anyway, it was everything I wanted to cream over and more. I literally shat my load when the game finally came out.

Sorry I haven’t posted today. Been up to my eyeballs in it. Not literally, that would be hideous.

Anyway I’m just waiting for Heavy Rain to get here. I’ve decided that both Bioshock 2 and AvP are distinctly average. And I’m rather annoyed about that, coz I was looking forward to both of them for ages.

Give me a new bloody game to play that’s engrossing, involving and enjoyable, PLEASE! At the moment, they’re boring the shit out of me (although i thoroughly enjoyed Darksiders, I’m stuck at a point right near the end, and can’t be arsed playing it for another 20 minutes just to complete it!)
