Multiplayer Mayhem
Last night i spoke to a very old friend who i used to go to school with and have basically known since i was 13. We had a game of left 4 dead online and he was asking me what do i reckon the best multiplayer game is.
I have to admit, i’m completely stumped. I really don’t have a clue what the best multiplayer game ever is. It’s not Halo, Halo 2 or Halo 3 coz they’re completely pish. I’m trying to think of a game where you can essentially play with one or two of your mates, and have a really good laugh playing it. You can be playing with many others or just your small knit team.
Any ideas?

GTA IV multiplayer is top notch, but it was good on the one single time we all bothered to get together. Doesn’t ever seem to have happened again.

Ok, I’m really going to surprise a few people, but Gears of War, small maps which can be played 1 v 1 if you only have 1 friend. Not my usual cup of tea, but just about every other game is too big when you have only a couple of players

Actually, i’ll chip in here and say that the original CnC: Red Alert was fantastic playing on lan multiplayer.
But that was only coz i kept winning, just build up my armies while i defend heavily, then just steam everything in in a pincer movement.

Damn good point there, have you tried any of the Xbox C&C multi-player?? I am playing single player but don’t want to end up spending 2 hrs playing some fucking 12 year American knob who will whinge and give me a bad rating because I beat him.
