O 2 not be a Virgin

I switched over to O2 last night and it’s all magical and speedy fast and not chuggish at all at peak times…

Or back in reality, it’s hardly changed. Streaming video is still slow, tried running through a couple of trailers on Apple and I was getting around 150k/sec, which is a bit rubbish really. Tried downloading something else i knew would go at full whack and it did; at 11pm when traffic was a bit quieter.

The transfer itself was pretty painless, stuck in the new modem, ran the cd, stopped the cd trying to install a load of bollix like McAfee and all that, and then I was up and running. So if you’re looking to switch providers then you can with virtually no downtime.

At least I’m free of Virgin’s shitty limiting during peak times of 10k/sec when I happen to be in the top 5% of downloaders the previous week. And that is truly worth it.

I haven’t been playing anything this week as I’m gearing myself for going up to Simp’s this weekend and playing Prototype and finally completing Dead Rising, which is something I’ve been wanting to do since I first got the game.

Plus a couple of obligatory surprises to make the weekend slightly less painful.

It was the final episode of Ashes to Ashes last and I, for one, have been thoroughly enjoying this series. The first series, meh, not so much, but THIS series, woah! The storyline and cohesion between all the key characters have been wonderfully well written. It’s all moved along at a brisk pace and the acting is stellar. Plus the ending was amusingly satisfying without giving away too much. Still, roll on Series 3 next year.

Bloody glad I watched it last night too, switched on GMTV this morning and the silly bitch from Heat magazine who was on talking about telly showed the very ending of last night’s episode. You know, the end scene. The bit that turns it all upside down and brings on the obligatory twist. Fucking wankers. Why do people do that?

What have we got coming out over the next few weeks? Well Tiger Woods 10 is just about out and Fight Night Round 4 comes out in a couple of weeks. Certainly looking forward to battering the crap out of Mike Tyson with pretty much anyone in the sequel to one of the best sports games ever made.

Finally I’d like to thank everyone reading this for helping to break the 2000 visitors a month barrier last month. Yay for my insignificant blog!

Although over 50% are finding this site through the phrase ‘wanking material’ which has now made my site so important that i’m toppermost of the search results. I guess when the urge takes you you gotta just go for it while your mum’s making their tea downstairs or your girlfriend’s gone to bed and you’ve got more chance of being sucked off under your computer desk by a ghost than getting your leg over tonight.

Still, i’d like to think that 1 or 2 are hanging around to read the drivel that I churn out of my keyboard every day.
