WoW Private Servers – The best ones

Here I present a list of World of Warcraft private servers. These are servers that aren’t affiliated with Blizzard in any way but they have the full world on them, it doesn’t cost you a penny in subscription fees or account charges or any of that bollocks. And best of all, the people running the server usually make several adjustments to the world making it a little bit more exciting. Here’s the list, all you do is sign up to the site with a username, password and email address, then change your realmlist.wtf file in your WoW folder. The numbers below each one are what version you need to be to play in them.

Was good to start with, but the servers kept going down, and 40x exp was a bit much, you do the first quest which is a ‘go speak to the person up that slope’ and you go up 3 levels.

Was pretty good and nicely populated to start with, but the ping rate was pretty rubbish and i got a delay with everything i was doing.

This is the one, at least it looks like it.

The last server is just nicely populated, not too busy, not empty either. People don’t seem to be complete wankers on the chat channels (a definite first for mmo’s). Maybe they realise they’re getting this for free and just aren’t as arsey as they would be if they were paying for it.

Here’s the bonuses and extra stuff for playing on the above server:

• Honor rate: 3x normal rate
• Drop rate: 15x so decent things drop from pretty much all mobs
• Quest XP rate: 12x (play for 20 minutes, get to lvl 10)
• Reputation rate: 10x
• Kill XP rate: 10x (even for Hunter pets)
• Talent point rate: 1.408x (100 at level 80)
• Portals from all major cities and to all major cities!
• Mounts FREE at level 1, swift at 15, flying in ALL non-instances at 30, COMBAT while flying at 50!

Also, if you vote for them on some silly top listing sites then they’ll give you a bunch of stuff for free in game like a 36-slot bag or 10 gold.

I’d definitely say it’s only for people who’ve played the normal game through beforehand but, being one of those people, it’s pretty damn cool to play again. It’s like going through the fast-track at Sainsburys and never wanting to queue normally again. It’s just nice and swift.

Simpers down at the weekend so i can see us both geeking it over WoW all over again. After all, it’s been 3 years since we last played it and I, for one, can’t remember a damn thing about it.
