The following is for informational purposes only…

Microsoft have just released the wave 4 video partition for their Xbox 360 disks. Cars Race-O-Rama has it and the upcoming Tekken 6 also has it.

What this means in absolute laymans terms:

If you’re on 1.6 you will need to get a boot disk first. Getting Jungleflasher gives you the link to download the boot disk and how to burn it to a DUAL-LAYER correctly. Then the boot disk needs to be inserted into the drive before any disk with a wave 4 partition. This boot disk is a one-shot boot disk and need to be inserted every time you want to run a wave 4.

If you’re on 1.51 then you do not need a boot disk at all, but you will need to run your disk through abgx to see if there’s any kind of corrupt video partition. Currently abgx do not support wave 4 but apparently they’re working hard so keep an eye out for the new version real soon.

If none of this makes any sense to you at all, then it’s probably best if you move along, nothing to see here…

*EDIT* Some are saying that 1.51 will NOT boot wave 4 and everyone should all just wait for 1.61, there’s no time frame. I say fuck it, go ahead and try it, it’ll either work or it won’t.
